Driver - Class 3 (Full time) Winnipeg, MB

Purpose:

As a Driver you will be responsible for the delivery of high-pressure cylinders, liquid containers, etc. to customer locations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles of product to ensure actual load complies with shipping documents
  • Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations
  • Follow operating and safety procedures while completing the assigned tasks
  • Complete shipping orders and related paperwork
  • Complete trip reports, fuel tickets and other necessary reports
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervisor
  • Identify need for repairs and/or maintenance to vehicles and is accountable to ensure the maintenance or repairs are conducted with a minimum of disruption to the operation.

Qualifications:


You will bring with you to this position:

  • Minimum 3 years of Class 3 driving experience
  • Valid, incident free, applicable provincial Driver's License with air brake endorsement
  • Ability to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
  • Proof of full vaccination against the COVID19 virus. Fully vaccinated means having received the full series of a COVID19 vaccine or combination of COVID19 vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) (e.g. two doses of a twodose vaccine series, or one does of a singledose vaccine series), and having received the final does of the COVID19 vaccine at least 14 days prior. Proof of vaccination must be provided to your manager prior to your first day of employment in the form of documentation issued by the provincial health authority indicating individual immunization status against the COVID19 virus.

Assets:


  • Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
