In your role, you will:

  • You will act as the Technical Deputy of the Head of Aircraft Design
  • Responsible to lead cross functional engineering investigations resulting from Continued Airworthiness, In-Service, or Final Assembly Line issues
  • Liaise with the Functional Directors, Fellows and Engineering IPDT WPs in the execution to ensure Aircraft Level design objectives, priorities and schedules are being maintained.
  • Responsible for the aircraft requirements (D&O and ARD), design and performance margins
  • Develop plan and harmonizing action plans for product improvements and capitalized projects
  • Identify platform issues & risks and propose action plans to mitigate
  • Evaluate all Product Change Requests for impacts at the Aircraft Integration level and provide appropriate impact statements into the program change progress
  • Develop Aircraft Integration test procedures, conduct appropriate rig testing and produce formally reports in support of the project Statement of Compliance, as required,
  • Support the Engineering IPDT WPs in the resolution of any cross WP integration issues
  • Liaise with the Program Management Organization to harmonize ongoing projects to ensure a seamless execution per agreed program milestone commitments
  • Part of the Platform leadership team in the Platform Integrated Product Development Team reviews and New product development team reviews
  • Support Marketing and Customer Support requests/proposals

Qualifications

  • You hold a University Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, and have at least 15 years experience in aerospace related field.
  • You possess a good understanding of all facets of systems/structures definition, integration, safety and certification processes
  • You have excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • You have a good knowledge of Part 25 certification process
  • You have good oral presentation and technical writing skills in English is required (French is an asset).
  • You possess the following soft skills:
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, be organized, a team player, a self-motivated person, Customer focused, and able to work under pressure.
  • You must also show initiative, innovation, leadership, a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, adaptability, have good interpersonal communication skills, have a good engineering judgement, and drive for results.
