Grants and Funding Requests Manager


The Rotary Club of Oakville Foundation is an integral part of the Rotary family in Oakville, committed to supporting registered charities and initiatives that make a meaningful impact on our community.

The Grants and Funding Requests Manager will handle the following:

  • Conduct thorough due diligence on applicant charities, including conducting research, financial analysis, program assessment, and impact evaluation of all requests.
  • Present recommendations to the Board based on comprehensive analysis and assessment of applicant charities.
  • Collaborate with successful charities to obtain impact reports, documenting how donations were used and the resulting impact on the community.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy including actively promoting the Foundation's mission and initiatives on social media platforms and other relevant channels.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance (updates and posts) of the Foundation's website.
  • Develop and implement PR strategies to raise awareness of the Foundation's work and attract potential donors and partners.
  • Liaison, engage and build relationships with donors, potential donors, community, and stakeholders to raise awareness, build the Foundation's presence and secure additional funding.
  • Develop and implement donation and grant polices and procedures.
  • Promote, coordinate, and oversee special events.
  • Develop and implement effective processes for tracking all requests, donations, and gifts.
  • Prepare and deliver materials including reports and presentations to the Board, Community stakeholders and partners.
  • Prepare and manage budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences).
  • Proven experience in grant management, fundraising, or philanthropy, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial documents, program effectiveness, and impact metrics and manage budgets.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, and familiarity websites and social media platforms.
  • Experience with creating and implementing PR strategies.
  • Selfstarter, with experience of working remotely and the ability to take their own initiative.
  • Exhibits a cheerful outlook and able to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Able to keep confidentiality.
