Description

The Victoria Department of Psychiatry are looking for a General Psychiatrist to provide part-time services at the Coastal Sage Health Centre (CSHC).

The CSHC is a 6 bed facility that provides services to women and people identifying as women, with problematic substance use, seeking residential treatment.

Provision of psychiatry services to clients at the Coastal Sage Health House.
Provide psychiatric assessment, consultation and diagnosis.
Provide medical review and education.
Work collaboratively with the Treatment Centre team to monitor clients' clinical status, monitor clients' response to treatment, develop treatment plans and management strategies for Treatment Centre clients.
Provide clinical oversight as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of service by Treatment Centre team members.

Participation in the South Island General Psychiatry call rotation is a requirement of this position.

Involvement in the Island Medical Program undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program is encouraged. A University of BC affiliated appointment and membership in the Division of General Psychiatry is available.
