Lakehead Overhead Door is looking for reliable and motivated Lead Overhead Door Technician able to work as part of a crew.

Having the ability to pay attention to detail, take direction and follow through accordingly. Completing jobs in a timely and professional manner. Must have a valid driver's license.

Duties Include:

Interpret conventional and computerassisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for machines and components.
Prepare diagnostic, compliance, and audit reports
Inspect mechanical installations and construction
Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
Participate in the installation, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Assist in inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical, electromechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
Install, operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems
Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions
Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
Install, repair and service exterior prefabricated products using hand and power tools.
Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
Assist tradespersons such as carpenters in construction activities
Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
Assist in demolishing structures such as garage doors using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and other hazardous materials
Oil and grease equipment
Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
