Lakehead Overhead Door is looking for reliable and motivated Lead Overhead Door Technician able to work as part of a crew.

Having the ability to pay attention to detail, take direction and follow through accordingly. Completing jobs in a timely and professional manner. Must have a valid driver's license.


Duties Include:

  • Interpret conventional and computerassisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for machines and components.
  • Prepare diagnostic, compliance, and audit reports
  • Inspect mechanical installations and construction
  • Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
  • Participate in the installation, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Assist in inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical, electromechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
  • Install, operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems
  • Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions
  • Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
  • Install, repair and service exterior prefabricated products using hand and power tools.
  • Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
  • Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
  • Assist tradespersons such as carpenters in construction activities
  • Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
  • Assist in demolishing structures such as garage doors using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and other hazardous materials
  • Oil and grease equipment
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
  • Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

Salary:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour
