- Must possess and be capable or maintaining a valid M.T.O. Class "D" Drivers License with a "Z" endorsement or a unrestricted "G" Drivers License with the ability to obtain a "DZ" endorsement within 8 months
- Must be capable of receiving training that requires a M.T.O. Class "D" Drivers License with a "Z" endorsement
- Must be capable of taking and maintaining W.H.M.I.S. and First Aid training
- Must be capable of receiving and interpreting verbal and written instructions
- Perform Machine Operator 3 duties as assigned
- Operate all snow clearing equipment as assigned
- Carry out site restorations according to established procedures
- Operate all heavy duty trucks and equipment for the City of Cornwall
- Be responsible for and use of hand tools and equipment.
- Perform pre trip inspections and complete any and all paperwork required for assigned equipment and role
- Act as Traffic Control person and set up appropriate signage material according to regulations outlined in the M.T.O. Traffic Control manual, when required
- Adhere to the regulations of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
- Answer general inquiries from City of Cornwall residents when required, refer inquiries when appropriate to appropriate authorities and/or supervisor
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Basic Duties
Under the supervision of the supervisor or designate, the Machine Operator 3 must operate in a safe and responsible manner all heavy-duty trucks and equipment within the Municipal Works Department. Will be assigned to any shift when required.
