Worley Canada Construction is seeking a
Construction Coordinator to work in our growing Construction Management team at our Edmonton Modular Yard.


Responsibilities:


  • Developing piping fabrication packages
  • Requesting and monitoring status of material
  • Developing, submitting and tracking RFI. Additionally, tracking a change related impacts to cost and schedule.
  • Communicating sequencing and priority between Mod Yards & Site. As well as between disciplines at your location
  • Understanding and consistent participation is schedule development / alignment
  • Ensuring construction is complete prior to walkdowns and turnover. When applicable, tracking punches to completion
  • Ensuring available manpower / equipment aligns with planned scope. Correct or communicate the busts

Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Developing piping fabrication packages

  • Ensuring available manpower / equipment aligns with planned scope. Correct or communicate the busts
  • Understand the proposal scope, the required deliverables, and your role within the proposal team
  • Ability to develop and provide full construction FIWPs (Field Installation Work Packages) to site execution teams
  • Prepare complete mark list(s) and provide to project controls for the ability to track and progress production
  • Ability to recognize risks and opportunities to a project and analyze them and their impact to schedules and creating mitigation plans
  • Support estimating to ensure sound, well defined quantities, and bottoms up based estimates are developed and delivered on time
  • Assist with project execution plan creation
  • Liaise with Construction Manager and Project Controls to present key elements of the erection plans which will influence the development of a bid schedule and project execution plan that are accurate, achievable, and meets the requirements of internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide input into the preparation of scope and work clarifications
  • The ability to succeed under strict timelines
  • The ability to prioritize work based on understanding of field timelines (and other needs) and the criticality of the required deliverables
  • The ability to work in a busy team environment
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to creatively solve problems

Industry Specific Experience:

  • 3+ years or more of industry experience
  • 2+ years or more of piping supervision / coordination role

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Technical training in structural and ornamental ironworks
  • Journeyman Red Seal certification preferred

IT Skills:

  • Well versed in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, working with spreadsheets, schedules, and tables
  • Bluebeam
  • Experience in Navisworks

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Establish direct working relationships and rapport with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent management skills including the ability to plan, set goals, and manage time, priorities, resources, accountabilities, schedules, and cost.
  • Ability to work cohesively with all departments across the business
  • Have a respectful attitude to all people with whom they interface, including home office, field, and client personnel
