Junior Buyer - HVAC & Plumbing Projects

Position Overview:
Experience 1-3 years (required)


Responsibilities:


  • Assist project managers in sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with vendors for HVAC and plumbing materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast material needs and optimize inventory management.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Assist in evaluating vendor proposals and making recommendations based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing materials and equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

How to Apply:

Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to the team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
  • Maintain and organize files and records
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and other materials for meetings
  • Coordinate and manage projects as assigned
  • Conduct research and gather information as needed
  • Assist with budgeting and financial tracking
  • Coordinate office supplies and equipment maintenance

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problemsolving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques and vendor management principles is a plus
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and supply chain processes is preferred
  • Ability to procure goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards
  • Strong sourcing skills to identify potential vendors or suppliers

$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
