Keeping Ontario's Legislative Assembly running smoothly takes many talented people, doing many different jobs—from camera operators and committee clerks, to purchasing officers and researchers.

The Office of the Assembly is dedicated to serving Ontario's Parliament.

Together, we provide non-partisan administrative and procedural services to all MPPs, as well as operational support for the daily activities of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

The Technical Analyst works closely with senior analysts, service desk staff, vendors and end users to assist with activities including responding to and resolving issues.

The Technical Analyst will ensure systems meet the highest quality expectations by using expertise in troubleshooting, quality assurance and customer service to create plans and deliver service.

What You'll Do:
You'll act with integrity to:

Provide troubleshooting assistance on issues related to enterprise information management systems including cloudbased systems, websites and CRM platforms by responding to cases following established service levels
Coordinate quality assurance activities including following standard policies and procedures while implementing test activities such as plans, cases and scripts

You'll support our collaboration as you:

Coordinate and participate in the testing and configuration of new and updated software systems, monitoring and reporting on testing progress and outcomes
Participate in system lifecycle management activities including technical writing in the form of system documentation and delivering end user training
Work directly with vendors as required when troubleshooting issues, documenting and communicating updates and changes with internal stakeholders
Participate in project teams and committees, providing research, consultative support and factfinding services

How You Qualify:

You demonstrate excellence through your:

University degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science or related field
35 years of progressive work experience
Familiarity with Microsoft products including O365, Power Platform, CRM Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps and their associated environments and tools
Experience troubleshooting systems, documenting and tracking issues while supporting end users through a ticket support system
Demonstrated project and time management skills including planning, organizing, tools and practices
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Strong customer service orientation and ability to work well in a team environment

Long Service Recognition Awards
The Office of the Assembly is currently in a flexible workplace pilot program that will run until May 31, 2023. The program permits employees in certain positions to work up to a maximum of 2 days per week for some of their regular scheduled hours from a mutually agreed upon location away from the office without compromising the efficiency and effectiveness of the Office of the Assembly business or overall service delivery. Employees that are able to participate in the program understand and agree that they must be available, when requested, to be onsite as required and, as such, are required to maintain proximity within commuting distance in Ontario from the Assembly's formal place of business at the Legislative Precinct in Toronto, Ontario. Employees may be required to return to work in the Legislative Precinct fulltime at the conclusion of the pilot program._
