We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager - Submittals who can perform in a fast paced, high-energy environment, supporting and assisting through all project delivery phases for a large regional commuter transit project.
You'll work under the direction of the Senior Project Manager and/or the Design Manager with mínimal supervision. In this position you'll ultimately be responsible for the management and coordination of project submittals.

Here's What You'll Need:
- Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and/or Design Manager the position is responsible for the management of the project submittals process
- Supports Design Manager, Senior Project Manager and the project team as required
- Highly organized and ability to process and efficiently manage numerous submittals effectively and positively influence Client and Stakeholder team members.
- Reviews and responds to project and program correspondence with excellent written and presentation skills.
- Able to interact with senior clients and articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Coordinates with document control team across all submittal related activities.
- Able to lead and guide other members of the submittals review team through the review process.
- Attendance at multiple technical and commercial project working groups.
- Verify and maintain information received from various sources in support of stakeholder requirements, design/construction/commissioning submissions, studies, meeting minutes, action logs, dashboards, registers etc. are.
- Track submittals to completion accordance with the timescale requirements,
- Maintain documentation of activities
- Reviewed for technical soundness/compliance with requirement, conflicting requirements and or comments,
- Organized and kept up to date,
- Coordinated between all Stakeholder and project team
- Process submittals from Client and Stakeholder teams including but not limited to the Technical Advisor (TA) and Project Co.
- Interfaces with TA and Stakeholder teams on submittals issues to drive positive outcomes.
- Resolves submittals and related issues providing recommendations to the project team where required.
- Coordinate project team responses for technical memos etc.
- Positive influencing skills and building excellent relationships.
- Analyze and mitigate risk of delayed submittals and the impact on the project schedule.
- Prepare summary reports for Executive Management.
- May be required to support on various project management activities.
You'll also need:
- BS or MS graduate of an engineering discipline or similar applicable technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working on a major transit or linear infrastructure project in a design or submittals related role
- Professional Engineer, PMP or similar professional license is considered desirable but not essential.
- Project delivery experience using AFP, P3, or similar methodology is desirable. Sound understanding of project management principles is highly desirable.
- Understanding of design and construction ideally including transit infrastructure is an asset (e.g., stops/stations and their associated facilities, tunnels, and systems).
- Sound understanding and practical experience of contract administration and document management software, CM14 and Aconex are desired
- Knowledge of transit engineering, operations, and maintenance is desirable
- Experience of engineering design management and review would be an asset
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite with a strong emphasis on Excel, and PowerPoint. Other CAD related software's such as Bentley, Autodesk (MicroStation, AutoCA
