  • About the Role

    The Manager, Recruitment and Admissions oversees faculty-wide initiatives to recruit and retain undergraduate and graduate students (domestic and international) in the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The Manager develops, implements, and evaluates the short and long-term recruitment and enrolment strategies or programs; promotes activities that foster strong relationships between students, faculty and staff; and executes efficient management of administrative processes. The Manager analyzes quantitative and qualitative data for strategic planning or problem solving; prepares forecasts, briefing notes, and recommendations on recruitment, admission, retention and enrolment; builds relationships with stakeholders across the University; and provides input on key issues and initiatives relating to admission, retention, and student services policies and processes. The Manager is responsible for managing the student affairs recruitment and enrollment team.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and five years of related experience in areas such as post-secondary academic program administration, student recruitment and retention, and planning; and experience in management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Excellent knowledge of student recruitment, enrolment and retention principles for undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Excellent knowledge of secondary and post-secondary education environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of student information systems, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and qualitative analytical software applications (i.e., Tableau).
  • Excellent program administration, marketing, recruitment, and event planning skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
