As a PDO Representative you will:

  • Conducts various inspections and orientations prior to and after the Homeowner occupies the home;
  • Explains the Tarion / Minto warranty to Homeowners and addresses any concerns;
  • Inspects all Homeowner issues and determines appropriate course of action;
  • Ensures timely quality completion of deficiencies and follows up on all inspection "work days";
  • Directs all duties related to and leading up to the closure of a home after the Customer PDO;
  • Reviews all Minto PDO and Customer PDO items with the appropriate construction team for completion of work;
  • Schedules and assigns all work to be completed with trade partners;
  • Ensures files are kept up to date for all work scheduled in the Spring and Summer, as per Tarion guidelines;
  • Ensures timely closure of all service calls in the database;
  • Interacts with production, design centre, architecture and trade partners to resolve construction issues;
  • Ensures all completed inspection forms and correspondence are filed in customer's file;
  • Reviews changes and ensures adherence to Minto construction guidelines, Back Charge procedures, safety and workmanship, contracts on a regular basis;
  • Supervises, trains and monitors performance of direct reports;
  • Ensures all Minto staff and trades partners abide by Ministry of Ontario Labour regulations and Minto's Health & Safety Policies;
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.

We would like you to have:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in the construction is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in a customer service role
  • A positive and patient attitude, strong knack for details, and a passion for helping people
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a stressful environment
