Position Overview

The User Experience Researcher at Autodesk is a relentless customer advocate, possesses a passion for human-centered design, and has a track record of executing highly impactful research with cross-functional teams.

Our User Experience Researchers leverage a wide variety of research methods and work in lockstep with their product teams to envision, validate, and ship high-quality experiences our customers will love.

Responsibilities:

Work with product teams, design leads, or other researchers to determine research objectives of scoped problems
Develop detailed research plans that address research objectives
Using straightforward methods, carry out research protocols following best practices for those methodologies
Leverage data collection methods that ensure highquality data
Collect, organize, and synthesize research data; interpret it to reveal actionable, impactful insights that inform research objectives
Create artifacts and reports that document research findings and insights that determine courses of action for design and product teams
Share and present findings to design and product teams
Build productive internal and external working relationships that support user research projects and skill development

Minimum Qualifications- 2+ years of relevant experience- Bachelor's degree in cognitive or experimental psychology, human-computer interaction, human factors, or related field- Experience working in a user-centered design process to help solve complex problems Up-to-date toolkit of research methods, and the experience and savvy to know when to be lean and scrappy and when to be rigorous- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and partners, including designers, product managers, and software developers throughout a research project- Ability to execute in a fast-paced, agile environment- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence

Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of quantitative analysis- Knowledge of the architectural, construction & engineering industry- Experience researching platform products and cloud services- Experience with Autodesk AEC products- You have an inquisitive mind and empathy for customers- You're a collaborator and enjoy working with partners and stakeholders to solve tough problems- You're a pattern finder and holistic thinker- You have strong verbal, written, and visual communication and presentation skills- You don't fear complexity
