Tensen Design & Manufacturing is looking to hire a Production Project Manager:

Duties and Responsibilities
Production Management

  • Supervisor manufacturing facility: ensure safety of all employees, contractors and visitors; participate in joint health & safety committee.
  • Supervise employees: lead team of 1015 direct reports to meet production schedules while optimizing performance; assist with hiring and performance management.
  • Supervise production: ensure production schedules are efficient and adhered to; production deliverables are met; fixtures are in optimal working condition.
  • Planning: organize, control and evaluate daily operations of production facility; organize resources to ensure efficient production of goods/services; develop and implement strategies to continually improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, safety, quality and team growth; develop operating procedures and optimize the use of infrastructure to support production; determine optimum lean manufacturing processes and raw material usage.
  • Oversee organization and maintenance of inventory; maintain an inventory of raw materials.
  • Performance management: measure and analyze the team's performance against budgets.
  • Quality: promote and support quality management system via compliance with quality policies (ISO 9001); train, coach and supervise others to do the same.
  • Communication: maintain transparent, supportive and egofree working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects to ensure client's unique needs are met: act as project lead; develop and control project plan and timing; identify, manage and resolve risks; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project details for readiness, validate material availability to meet deliverables and followup on deviations.
  • Coordinate and update schedule: adapt and communicate; plan production sequencing and ensure execution; schedule activities, monitor and revise progress, resolve problems; schedule all major parts, components and subassemblies for production.
  • Collaborate: work with stakeholders to meet necessary delivery schedules; generate inventory, capacity, raw material reports; track progress of production, work orders and change management; participate in client management (meetings, visits, PPAP etc).
  • Generate, master, own, and maintain performance and production management tools (job tracking, productivity, etc.).
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering with a mechanical discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years experience in project management and a management level position in manufacturing.
  • Specialized knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering, production planning, process engineering, or equivalent.
  • High level of organizational skills: able to effectively organize and manage competing priorities; utilize effective problemsolving techniques.
  • Strong crossfunctional team leadership with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated sound decision making, problemsolving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify operational requirements and solutions to address deficiencies, ability to lead root cause analysis investigations.
  • Knowledge of materials management, manufacturing, and quality systems.
  • Strong background in workplace safety leadership.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills specifically in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.); some experience with CAD software preferred, Google sheets.

Salary:
$80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
