Description

• Conduct relevant research and analysis of issues, policies, and legislation;
• Develop and maintain relationships with various ministries, MPs' Offices, and other government departments and agencies;
• Draft communication products such as community newsletters, press releases, media lines, formal remarks, and backgrounders;
• Other duties as required affiliated with daytoday operations and special projects;
• Prepare speeches, briefing materials, and notes as required;
• Work with the Member to draft and ensure approval of all social media materials and general communications including messages, videos, and shareable

• Relevant postsecondary education or equivalency
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload while demonstrating professionalism
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, respond to shortterm demands and adapt to new situations
• General knowledge of government, current affairs, politics, and world events
• Ability to manage multiple casework/projects at the same time
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms
• Having an understanding of the riding including the needs/issues of the community are considered an asset
