Duties:

Instruct all levels of Foundation and Apprenticeship technical training. This will include theory presentation and shop instruction.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum three years of demonstrated teaching or industry training experience or appropriate combination of above, including some supervisory experience.

Must have instructed Foundation program and current in 2021 CEC Electrician.
Interprovincial Certification with having served a fouryear apprenticeship and has a minimum of five years proven journeyman status working on a broad range of building projects.
Must have recent experience working with and interpreting the Electrical Code.
Proven participation in traderelated professional development relating to new technologies, new industry/instructional developments and trends, and supervisory experience.
Completion of Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or equivalent (if in progress, maximum two years to completion).
Proven classroom management ability.
Willingness to work as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
A high level of energy and enthusiasm is essential.
Proven positive interpersonal skills in dealing with students.
Sensitivity to the needs of a wide variety of adult students returning to education.
Ability to work as part of a team of instructors, administrators, and staff.
Must possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and have a confirmed satisfactory driving record
