OBJECTIVE


The purpose of this role is to support the managers of the business units to which he/she is assigned in the day-to-day and strategic management of human resources, health and safety, talent acquisition and training and development activities, as well as to be an ambassador of our corporate culture.

In partnership with other HRAPs, responsibilities will include taking ownership of recruitment, supporting and guiding managers in HR practices and labor relations, ensuring appropriate health and safety follow-up, and leading key training and culture initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the management team in the implementation of programs such as workforce planning, succession management, compensation management, performance management program and all employee related issues.
  • Develop and deploy integrated solutions to meet the specific needs of supported business units to optimize team member performance, retention and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with policies such as pay equity, antiharassment legislation and equal access to employment in the various units to which he/she is assigned.
  • Take charge of the entire staffing process for assigned groups, right through to employee integration.
  • Work closely with managers to identify needs and build role profiles.
  • Ensure an efficient recruitment cycle to minimize cycle time and maximize the employee experience.
  • Develop strategies and partnerships with educational institutions to develop a talent pool.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of work processes and methods.
  • Support managers in employee development.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, CNESST claims, follow up with employees and provide CNESST with the required information.
  • Participate in prevention activities, including the health and safety committee.
  • Promote and contribute to the evolution of the employer brand.
  • Coordinate cultural initiatives to make CCM Hockey a great place to work.
  • Support and coordinate recognition initiatives.
  • Complete HR projects within the organization, in line with organizational objectives.
  • All other related tasks

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related field, combined with 35 years' experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Accomplished professional in the various spheres of human resources management (staffing, compensation, training, OD, and labor relations).
  • Good business acumen, indepth knowledge of the consulting role and deployment of an internal service offering.
  • Experience in distribution and manufacturing environments would be an asset.
  • Passion and innovative spirit for best practices in human resources and talent acquisition.
  • Strong interpersonal skills promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to guide and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional customer focus, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong organizational skills.
  • Member of the Ordre des CRHA or CHRP an asset.
  • Experience in a unionized environment an asset.
  • Knowledge of the DayForce platform an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) oral and written communication. This requirement is necessary as the person will be interacting with people based in Europe, the United States and Asia, on a regular basis.
