The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, Environmental Protection Division works to protect human and environmental health through science-based policies, laws and environmental contracts/ covenants.

Our main program goal is to maintain a sustainable environment in terms of the quality of air, water and land.

This position provides leadership to enhance service delivery on the web through creation, delivery and governance of engaging content.

This position creates innovative content solutions that impact users, translating business needs into a user-focused solution through workflows, user interface design, interaction models and prototypes.


Job Requirements:


  • Degree or diploma in User Experience Design, English, Library Science, Computer Science, Communications or related field, AND minimum one (1) year experience practicing user experience design, planning and/or managing web properties including experience in information architecture, content development and/or interaction design
    ; OR,:
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training and/or experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with a website content management system.
  • Experience writing and editing content for the web.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following:
  • Experience with CMS Lite.
  • Experience with BC Writing for the Web Guides and/or BC Design System.
  • Experience working with technical or scientific content.

About this Position:

This position can be based in any Ministry of Environment office.

The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.

Remote work is allowed. This position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia as per the Telework Agreement.
