    Biostatistics II

    Compensation

    Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.

    Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $21.43 per hour. (Rate effective September 1, )

    Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $33.72 per hour. (Rate effective September 1, )

    In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant's duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.

    Duties

    Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.

    Qualifications

    • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or related discipline.
    • If vacancies remain, Brock fourth year (honours) students in Health Sciences or related discipline will be considered.
    • Demonstrated competency in biostatistics.
    • Demonstrated skills in statistical software (specifically SAS and R).
    • For Brock undergraduate applicants, the incumbent must be at the fourth-year level of an honors program and have completed of this course successfully.
    • Prior experience in teaching biostatistics laboratory is an asset.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback.
    • Ability to prioritize work and meet agreed upon deadlines.
    • Experience or training with online synchronous and asynchronous course support.
    • Proficiency with online delivery tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace)
    • Available online or in person to provide feedback.
