    Description

    SRS Managers (Canada) Limited, a fast-growing privately-owned insurance services company, is currently seeking a Treasury Specialist for our Halifax office to provide superb Treasury and Cash Management Services to our colleagues in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

    This role reports to the Cayman Chief Administrative Officer.
    This role can be remote, anywhere in the Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada region.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • For a portfolio of insurance companies:
      • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the client service team through the cash management of a portfolio of insurance and reinsurance companies
      • Overall responsibility for maintaining master client banking and investment account listing
      • Assist with advising all relevant financial institutions of signatory changes on a periodic basis
      • Develop automated workflow processes to improve overall treasury throughput and operational efficiency
      • Work with international banking institutions on payment queries and processes
      • Assist with the opening of new corporate bank, trust and investment accounts
      • Provide coverage and cross-training for similar duties performed by colleagues within the treasury and cash management team
      • Perform other payment and treasury tasks that may be assigned from time to time
      • Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
    • University degree or diploma with a concentration in Business and/or Accounting
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a Financial Services or a similar role
    • Experience in banking and with online payment platforms considered an asset
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: including Excel Word, PowerPoint and Teams
    • Superb organizational skills with a demonstrated focus on accuracy of the data
    • Ability to work remotely with teams located across multiple time zones
    • A detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who is comfortable with routinely shifting demands
    • Must be a self-starter and driven to succeed
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate through multiple mediums and build lasting relationships with all levels of employees in multiple jurisdictions
    • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
    • Ability to meet deadlines, achieve objectives and work well under pressure
    • Ability to quickly grasp essential issues, analyze alternatives and recommend appropriate solutions
    • Willingness to take on additional projects and assignments as required
