The Role:


PRAXES is looking for a motivated IT Support Specialist to provide technical support to our staff and manage our systems.

In this role, your duties will include ensuring optimal use of our hardware and software technologies, enhancing system performance, securing data, and advising on IT equipment upgrades and new orders.


To ensure success as an IT Support Specialist, you should possess extensive experience in providing information technology support in a fast-paced environment.

Top-notch IT support specialists contribute to increased productivity by ensuring that company IT systems run efficiently.


Responsibilities, duties, and expectations include the following:


  • Providing IT assistance to staff and customers.
  • Training endusers on hardware functionality and software programs.
  • Resolving logged errors in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics.
  • Updating and managing computer systems (hardware, network, and telephony) including inventory tracking.
  • Hardware/software setup and User account management for staff.
  • Maintaining servers in AWS and ensuring system security.


  • Maintaining Azure resources

  • Active Directory, Sentinel, Microsoft 365, Licensing, and other Azure resources.
  • Documenting processes in JIRA Confluence.
  • Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.
  • Admin for RingCentral telephony system.
  • Onboarding new clients in PRAXES EMwerx system.
  • Software testing of EMwerx system when new releases are available.
  • Consulting with Software Developers and other departments as required.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:


  • University or college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar.
  • 35 years experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
  • Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
  • Indepth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Ability to determine IT needs and train endusers.
  • Proficiency in IT helpdesk software, such as JIRA Service Desk.
  • Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
