Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budget.


Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers and architects, engineers to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare accurate take offs
• Utilize project management software to create detailed estimates
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements
• Research and gather information on materials, labor costs, and equipment needed for each project
• Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present them to clients
• Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure accurate pricing throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary
• Keep uptodate with industry trends and changes in construction materials and methods

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
• Proficiency project management
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents
• Excellent mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
• Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Proficient in using software tools like Bluebeam for document management
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors

Requirements:

MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 years experience in this field working in Ontario. Must be fluent in English. Remote work is possible at times. Reliable transportation. this is a non smoking environment work place.

$38,419.72-$89,838.58 per year
