Are you a designated professional accountant that has advanced experience in financial operations/ system and compliance/evaluation? Are you an approachable and collaborative leader with strong supervisory skills? Seniors Community and Social Services is searching for a Manager, Financial Compliance and that could be you


You will manage and direct the delivery of financial compliance function for the ministry and the department that ensures payments are accurate, timely, properly authorized and that appropriate internal controls are maintained.

Your responsibilities will also include ensuring appropriate business and financial processes and policies are in place and operating effectively for ministry financial operations, 1GX, Procurement Cards, EPS and Concur.

You will report to and receive support from the Director, and as a Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timing of the financial information.


Qualifications:


Required:

  • An accounting designation (CPA or legacy designations CA, CMA, CGA)
  • University degree in a related field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or Public Administration plus a minimum of three years' related experience.

Assets include:

  • Experience in managing a compliance function for complex programs and providing related advice to staff at all levels in the ministry and other ministries
  • Experience in interpreting acts, regulations, policies and programs
  • Experience with various modules in 1GX including Concur and Supply Chain Management
  • Experience supervising a team of finance professionals

Salary:

$3,100.80 to $4,172.77 bi-weekly ($80,930 to $108,909 annually)
