The Role:


The Assistant Site Supervisor will assist the Site Supervisor in the day-to-day activities, which entails directing staff and contractors to ensure that the site runs smoothly and efficiently.

As the Assistant Site Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the Site Supervisor to prepare and execute project plans.
  • Always ensure full compliance of health and safety adherence on site
  • Ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that quality standards are maintained
  • Assure compliance to the safety regulations as set out by Madison Group and the Ministry of Labor
  • Assist in the management and coordination of all staff and trades on site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist at other locations within the company as requested

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Construction Management Degree/Diploma (preferred) or Construction Engineering Degree/Diploma
  • Good communications skills, especially command of English (written and oral)
  • Be organized, decisive, and have strong attributes to solving daily issues and details.
  • Must be able to work within a team or a single entity
  • Able to work within strict timelines
  • Selfmotivated with strong work ethics
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
  • Proficiency in Excel/ Word/ Office operating systems
  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents
