We are looking for a passionate experienced media-savvy and hands-on head of PR and Communications This is a contract position located in Toronto reporting into the VP MarketingThe incumbent will be working hybrid with in-office time spent working from Equitable Bank's additional office space located at Ontario Street Toronto ON

Responsibilities
- Proactive reactive media relations to increase EQB presence in top-tier mainstream press showcasing how we are changing the future of banking li Develop pitch earned media stories about EQB its brands – QB Equitable Bank EQ Bank/Banque EQ Concentra Trust required- to mainstream emerging media outlets centres influence ensure stories support business goals resonate target audiences Work closely content data business teams develop trend based target personas insights Support Executive Leadership Team visibility thought leadership initiatives Provide operations oversight reporting showcase value adds organisation Work closely internal communications teams provide counsel support internal initiatives Build connections key organisations journalists mix traditional digital social Field reactive calls quickly Coordinate training agency conduct training briefed expert counsel Monitor industry news share relevant senior leaders enterpriseCreate disseminate twice-weekly digests internal audienceSupport investor relations team writing quarterly earnings ad hoc requests Press release writing editing select additional support Collaborate regular marketing product social legal risk compliance ESG strategy corporate development Support Integration Management Office long-term functional planning WorkVP Marketing Senior DirectorEQBankMarketing occasional activations event crisis issue lead communications efforts enterprise provide mediarelationsupport crisis/issues management team ul
