Accountabilities:


  • Safely and efficiently pilot a counterbalanced fork life to move, load and unload materials in an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct daily inspection of the forklift ensuring any safety concerns are reported promptly before operating the vehicle.
  • Manage pallets throughout the plant ensuring appropriate set up and packaging for shipment.
  • Diligently problem solve to ensure mínimal material handling and ensure machines are supplied to run a peek capacities.
  • Independently and proactively empty scrap bins throughout the facility.
  • Follow all material handling policies and procedures ensuring material is stored efficiently to support production activities.
  • Assist with program changeovers providing assistance where necessary.
  • Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
  • Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.
  • Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Required:


  • Hold a valid Forklift license with no major accidents on record.
  • Certified or previous training in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods would be an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize work

Salary:
$24.79 per hour
