Description
Adherence to all procedures and maintenance of clean and safe environment.- Perform required preventative maintenance on all injection molds and complete all checklists and documentation as lined out in procedures.
- Documentation of all process changes and/or deviations from standard processes.
- Anticipate and resolve issues that may hinder production performance.
- Replace, repair hoses, fittings, etc. where required
- Perform required tool changes timely to ensure completion of required production as well as meeting or exceeding daily targets for efficiency, effectivity, and utilization
- Perform tool changes using approved checklists and procedures (PIMMP)
- Complete all changeover and maintenance reports as required by the MRO.
- Ensure all necessary preparations are completed and available for the next shift to ensure smooth transition at shift change and limit interruptions and/or downtime for that shift
- The Process Technicians are empowered to shut down machines (cease production) when Quality and/or Safety issues arise or persist.
- Maintain all process functions of molding presses and auxiliary equipment
- Responsible for press set up and startups, ensuring quality, answering alarms, and continuing production in an efficient manner
- Maintain process log books
- Troubleshoot processing, quality and tooling issues
- Work with maintenance to resolve press malfunctions and minimize downtime
- Work with Quality Dept. to ensure acceptable parts are provided
- Change over Injection Molds for Production
- Indepth knowledge of injection molding machines and processes required
- Strong Communication skills
- Working knowledge of production tooling
- Preferred press experience includes: Negri Bossi and Nessei
- Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures
- Possess basic understanding of FEMA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
- Crane operation certification
- Lift truck operation certification
- Shift work required rotating shift schedule every two weeks (Afternoons, Midnights)
- Must be willing and available to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, lifting and frequent walking in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 25kg on a regular basis
- 2 positions available
- Steady Midnights with shift premium or Swing Shift 2 weeks Days and Afternoons

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
Lockout Training: 1 year (preferred)
Process Technician: 3 years (required)
Plastic Injection Molding: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Overhead Crane (preferred)
