Job Summary:


Ainsworth is seeking an Account Executive - Industrial to support our ambitious growth plans within the Industrial marketplace, initially supporting our Industrial panel building team.

This has the potential to grow into providing Ainsworth's offerings in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Management, and Automation Services in support of the Industrial market.


You are self-motivated with an adequate mix of technical and professional skillsets, capable of engaging with various customer types and backgrounds.

Previous technical sales experience is preferable, but not required.


Responsibilities

Sales

  • Meet with customers and interpret requirements to define and propose a scope
  • Create estimates and compose quotations:Evaluate customer documentation to refine the scope.
Estimate labor costs for design, programming, build, and installation.
Obtain material quotes and use a database of common materials to create estimates.
Typical project models include Design-Build, Plan-Spec, Retrofit, Service / PMA

  • Maintain organized documentation for proposals.
  • Utilize company CRM system to track opportunities and book awarded projects.
  • Participate in handover meetings with the operations team.
  • Achieve agreedupon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule.
  • Understanding profit and loss and the drive to optimize profitability.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, owners, and internally to develop specifications and preliminary design proposals.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relations.
  • Analyze market potential and develop new business opportunities proactively.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional material for typical offerings.
  • Influence customers and demonstrate valueadd in proposals.

Materials Selection

  • Maintain a list of standard products used for project estimating, including cost and vendors.
  • Create estimate templates for standardized products such as control panels and kiosks.
  • Communicate with operations and purchasing teams on preferred products for stocking.

Analytics

  • Work with the operations and analytics teams to review the performance of projects:Update future estimating based on data.
Create reports to show effectiveness by the scope.


Requirements:


Key Skills Required

  • Familiar with various\ construction drawings: Site Plans, P&ID, Mechanical, Electrical: Single line, ladder diagrams, schematics, PLC drawings, equipment layouts, equipment schedules / BOM
  • Computer proficient: PDF / Bluebeam, MS Office: Excel, Visio
  • Familiar with typical electrical construction project delivery and requirements

Skills / Experience Preferred

  • Familiar with PLCs and components
  • ABB, Allen-Bradley, SCADA pack and others


  • Familiar with instrumentation

  • Flowmeters (Magnetic), Level measurement (Radar, Ultrasonic), Pressure measurement


  • Communications experience

  • Networks, SCADA, various communications protocols
  • Construction or Manufacturing industry experience in Mechanical / Electrical fields
  • Procurement experience understanding of typical procurement workflows.
