Shipper/receiver/forklift Operator - Delta, Canada - Insight Plastics Corp.
Description
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect and document any damages or discrepancies in shipments
- Unload and load trucks using forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Pick and pack orders according to customer requirements
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or MRP software to track inventory movement and update records
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely shipping
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Experience:
- Previous experience in a shipping/receiving role preferred
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Familiarity with order picking processes and techniques
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving procedures and inventory management
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or MRP software, such as AS400
- Understanding of ecommerce order fulfillment processes is a plus
Skills:
- Forklift operation: Ability to safely operate forklifts to load/unload shipments and move inventory within the warehouse
- Order picking: Proficiency in accurately selecting items from inventory based on customer orders
- Reach truck operation: Skill in operating reach trucks to access high shelves or racks in the warehouse
- MRP knowledge: Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems used for inventory control and production planning
- Warehouse management: Understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, organizing, and shipping goods efficiently
- Shipping/receiving: Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures, including inspecting shipments, completing documentation, and coordinating with carriers for outbound shipments
- Order fulfillment: Ability to process customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
- AS400 proficiency: Experience using AS400 or similar warehouse management software for inventory tracking and management
- Load/unload: Skill in safely loading and unloading trucks, containers, or pallets using appropriate equipment and techniques
Salary:
$22.00 per hour
