Job Description:
Under direction of Division Financial Business Partner, the Gross Profit Analyst performs a variety of tasks focused on improving the financial and operational performance of the Division.
Regularly performs pricing analysis and coordinates pricing for the organization's products and/or services in order to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.
Assess policies and procedures and recommend improvements. Ensure reconciliation of funds, positions, and reports. Conduct account analysis, identifying and reporting trends, risks, and discrepancies. Perform account management and reconciliation, consulting internally, ensuring accurate data, and reporting status updates. Analyze the impact of pricing changes on profitability and growth rates.Key Job Responsibilities
- Creates and reviews financial and operational reports to understand performance drivers and gaps for Division and Regional performance with a focus on maximizing profit
- Evaluates performance indicators and works with operational leaders to understand impacts to profit margins
- Manages ad hoc financial reporting
- Assists division and regional leaders in preparing for business reviews and manage other reporting needs
- Conducts analysis on new initiatives and helps division leaders understand initiative performance
- Assist with reconciliation as needed
- Responsible for identifying profit margin opportunities
- Adjust estimates to support pricing objectives
- Identify missed profit opportunities and communicate/work with respective group to resolve
- Knowledge of various DRP requirements
Education and/or Experience Required
- General Manager or estimator experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of collision repair facility operations
- Ability to work closely with field operations and company finance personnel
Skills/Abilities
- Goal oriented with the intent and desire to improve operational and financial performance
- Advanced knowledge of creating/modifying spreadsheets in Excel
- Demonstrated diligence to tasks and a strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Self starter and ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills; oral, verbal, written and listening
- Ability to adapt to an ever changing, growing business environment
- General understanding of GM and how to identify areas for improvement
- General knowledge of identifying opportunities for charging for body (Kent) supplies
- Ability to follow up with teammates to give positive feedback/direction or reinforcement
