Scope


This managerial position reports to the Community Enhancement Manger and involves advanced level professional work related to the complex and diverse operation and administration, coordination and execution of community programs, events and partnerships that aim to meet the needs of the community and event organizers for Cloverdale Fairgrounds.

Work at this level has significant financial and supervisory responsibilities within a diverse working environment and a high level of community services responsibility.


Responsibilities:

Developing long range plans and program frameworks for Cloverdale Fairgrounds. Overseeing facilities maintenance, budget preparation, employee relations, presentations and fostering of partnerships. Providing direction to a team of dedicated, unionized staff that are passionate about what they do.

Planning, developing, promoting and the evaluation and collaboration of programs and services that address the full range of diverse developmental needs and aspirations.

Managing risk and occupational health and safety issues. Labour relations within the Cloverdale Fairgrounds. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with various community agencies, businesses, and department managers within the City.


Qualifications:

Degree in Recreation, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution 5 years of related work experience, with management experience An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered The ability to work independently and are experienced in balancing needs within a diverse environment Possess related work experience in managing day to day operations of a diverse set of facilities Bring a strong background in Parks, Recreation and Culture management, preferably within a municipal setting Excels in a customer focused and entrepreneurial setting and can demonstrate this through your accomplishments

Annual Salary Range $104,807 - $123,302
