Duties:

Welcoming and becoming acquainted with residents in all three residence halls
Being a liaison between Student Services, including Learning, Writing, and Math Skills professionals.
Host and organizing academic skills activities and events in residence.
Working with students wanting to establish study groups.
Keeping a log/statistics of individuals utilizing academic skills activities and events, noting students that

may need additional assistance from Student Services.

Other relevant duties as assigned
Work with mínimal to no direct supervision

Qualifications/Experience:

Applicants must satisfy a number of requirements that include the following:

Skillset:

Ability to communicate with individuals and with groups effectively
Ability to plan, organize, and lead group events
Basic computer skills and competency using the Brandon University computer network
Effectively communicate knowledge of campus and community academic resources

Education:

Must be a full time Brandon University student in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of

2.5 in the term prior to being selected.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 months of post-secondary studies
Previous leadership experience is a strong asset

It is a requirement of this position to live in Brandon University Residence to fulfill the duties of the role.
