Duties:
- Welcoming and becoming acquainted with residents in all three residence halls
- Being a liaison between Student Services, including Learning, Writing, and Math Skills professionals.
- Host and organizing academic skills activities and events in residence.
- Working with students wanting to establish study groups.
- Keeping a log/statistics of individuals utilizing academic skills activities and events, noting students that
- Other relevant duties as assigned
- Work with mínimal to no direct supervision
Qualifications/Experience:
Applicants must satisfy a number of requirements that include the following:
Skillset:
- Ability to communicate with individuals and with groups effectively
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead group events
- Basic computer skills and competency using the Brandon University computer network
- Effectively communicate knowledge of campus and community academic resources
Education:
- Must be a full time Brandon University student in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 months of post-secondary studies
- Previous leadership experience is a strong asset
It is a requirement of this position to live in Brandon University Residence to fulfill the duties of the role.
