As a People & Culture Business Partner Consultant supporting leaders in the TELUS Business Solutions Business Customer Experience (BCX) team, you wear several hats: trusted advisor, consultant, project manager and change agent.

Toggling between the big picture and then rolling up your sleeves to do the tactical work is second nature to you.

You sit alongside and collaborate with the business leaders to provide thought leadership for People & Culture activities.

You are resilient, pragmatic, humble, and possess a great sense of humor. Your counsel is equal parts logic, analysis and strategy. You have a natural curiosity and appreciate that failure and vulnerability are healthy ways to learn and grow.

Your passion to make a difference and how you do things will contribute to the success of our internal clients in creating better outcomes for our customers.


What you'll do

  • Lead by example as an ambassador of our culture; drive change by partnering with business leaders and other internal groups to proactively manage changes impacting team members
  • Foster a ONE team culture by liaising with Centres of Expertise to help drive the evolution of business unit programs and solutions
  • Participate in largescale adhoc people projects such as integration of acquired businesses
  • Use your experience with HR data analysis and leverage available tools, reporting and analysis (compensation, talent movement, etc.) to provide business leaders with key insight and datadriven analysis
  • Provide proactive daytoday coaching to our BCX Commercial Business Security leaders to help improve team member performance and experience
  • Share best practices and changes to any People and Culture programs and initiatives and ensures they are successfully adopted in a fair and consistent manner
  • Provide guidance and support across a variety of topics including: performance improvement, conflict resolution, policy adherence, compensation, engagement, integration of acquired businesses, talent development, recognition and change management/communication

What you bring

  • Strong leadership skills gained from coaching and/or management experience
  • Excellent consulting and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of current provincial employment law, HR theory and practices (min 3+ years of experience)
  • Sound judgment and demonstrated business acumen
  • Strong communication skills including: Oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple demands simultaneously
  • Technical proficiency in Google Workspace (formerly GSuite) and ability to adapt to internal systems
  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
