    Description

    As an, ED FED Assistant Project Manager, supporting our New Surrey Hospital project, you will:

  • Support the ED FED PMs on existing and upcoming project works;
  • Coordinate works with the ED FED Project Coordinator(s) and Database Management team;
  • Collaborate with external project team members such as Client/Owner, Architects, Designers, and Trade Partners;
  • Prepare, coordinate, and evaluate RFQ/RFP documents;
  • Coordinate with Vendors and Suppliers to source product furniture and equipment options, develop specifications, budget pricing, and meet procurement timelines;
  • Plan and execute procurement activities between User Groups and potential vendors;
  • Travel to site visits, showrooms, etc.
  • Execute facility transitions;
  • Track project goals and deliverables, and report progress to the PMs; and,
  • Facilitate and lead (from time-to-time) weekly and/or monthly FED Team, Stakeholder and User Group meetings as required.
  • Is this role right for you? Are you...?

  • A self-starter, resourceful and detail-oriented;
  • Experienced or educated in Biomedical, Nursing and/or a similar field (all considered an asset);
  • Experience managing hospital/healthcare projects is a requirement
  • Skilled in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Project;
  • Able to independently represent the ED FED Team while exhibiting EllisDon core values;
  • A champion of learning and process improvement;
  • Entrepreneurial and willing to strive towards better project management processes within ED FED;
  • Willing to complete security clearances (as required by Clients); and,
  • Organized and able to (re) prioritize tasks as needed with confidence.
  • This role is based on-site at the New Surrey Hospital project
