Reporting to the General Rental Manager, this position contributes to a safe and efficient Rental Department through teamwork and strong customer focus.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Opens and closes rental invoices; creates Rental Agreements for all equipment, prepares monthly billing for all open Rental Agreements including collecting mileages and reefer hours (if applicable), collects mileages for all leased equipment for Leasing billing processed in Mississauga.
  • Maintains Daily Rental Status reports.
  • Creates monthly Rental Utilization Report.
  • Maintains and keeps current all customer insurance files, customer CVOR.
  • Completes all required paperwork for ownership/licensing of lease and rental equipment and other changes at Service Ontario office.
  • Ensures appropriate insurance and driver's license information is recorded for all Rental Agreements.
  • Responsible for processing pick up and return of rental trucks including but not limited to; ensuring all documents are in the truck, check fluid levels, fuel/DEF fluid, lift gate/reefer function, noting damages, checking safety stickers and license plates
  • Follows up with rental customers / prospective customers when trucks returned/available.
  • Prepares estimates for damages or missing equipment.
  • Manages transfers of lease and rental equipment including towing, billing customer.
  • This position requires working within all departments and outside the location premises in all weather conditions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Postsecondary education; College or University Diploma/Degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of heavy trucks and refrigeration systems is an asset.
  • Valid Class G Driver's License. DZ Driving License is an asset.
  • Competency in the following areas: customer service, administrative skills, time management, proficiency with software and computers.
  • Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
