An administrative assistant position is available at Imperial's Cold Lake, Alberta location. This is a term position providing up to one year paid internship with the possibility of a one-year extension. Upon successful completion of the 2-year program, possibility for offer of full-time employment.

Transportation to and from the work site is provided to those within 80 km from the Cold Lake operations.

If you reside further than 80 km away, you are required to make arrangements for a pick-up point within the 80 km.


What you will do:


Your primary responsibility will include providing support to our managers and employees, performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

You will assist in daily office needs and provide professional and efficient support to our assets.

This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative person to gain valuable experience in the oil and gas industry. We offer you challenging, discipline-related work experience in an operating environment.


About you:


Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is a minimum requirement
  • Business Administrative Diploma or Office Administration Diploma preferred

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment: printers, computers, fax, copiers
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
