Jewel Welding Pipe-Fab, & Coatings is seeking a Skilled Laborer to join the team in Maple Ridge and at various project sites around the Province.

This is a full-time, year-round position with plenty of opportunity for overtime. Reliable transportation is required as we are not accessible by transit.

The Skilled Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor in the shop and at various project sites throughout BC.

The Skilled Laborer will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools, and larger equipment such as Zoom Boom and Bobcat.

Responsibilities will include the cleaning and preparation of work-sites/areas, power washing, sandblasting, assisting Welders, Fabricators, and Painters as needed, and cleaning up rubble and debris.

The Skilled Laborer will frequently use high pressure air and fluid systems

Compensation
- $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a construction laborer.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Welding experience an asset.
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Effective verbal and listening communications skills.
Must possess a valid Driver's license.
Must be willing to work out of town as needed.
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various construction processes.
Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to a work schedule.
Must be physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions, and keep up a fast pace.

Jewel Welding Pipe Fab & Coatings is a privately-owned company based in Maple Ridge, BC.

Located on the Fraser River, our fabrication and coatings facility produces customized pipeline welding solutions for our clients including fabrication, spooling, alloy welding, and specialty coatings.

Salary:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
