Position Summary:
The Hospitality Manager manages all aspects of restaurants and private dining experiences.

Assist in special event operations to provide exceptional service to all residents, guests and coworkers by performing essential duties effectively and efficiently.

Ensure that all aspects of food and beverage services are in adherence with Brightwater's policies while being fiscally responsible.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other employees as necessary).
Directly oversee front of house personnel duties, including but not limited to:

  • Recruiting, hiring, supervising, evaluating, counseling, and, if necessary, terminating front of house dining services and engagement employees.
  • Create, implement and conduct routine staff meetings, preshift meetings, and training programs.
  • Assure staff is appropriately trained.
  • Establish standards for service personnel performance and customer service.
  • Assure servers are in dress code and order additional shirts and aprons as necessary.
  • Complete and maintain monthly work schedule and duties for front of house personnel.
  • Adheres to and enforces all company sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Monitor the training of and enforce daily completion of proper cleaning standards for all equipment and service areas.
  • Monitor use of and order service supplies as necessary.
  • Monitor employee and patron activities in order to ensure liquor regulations are obeyed.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with health, fire and Liquor regulations regarding food and beverage preparation and service and building maintenance in dining and kitchen facilities.
  • Assist in research, development, design and updating, maintenance and costing wine list and drink menus.
  • Takes weekly inventory of wine and beer consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased and/or requisitioned to maintain par levels.
  • Have two years' relevant management experience.
  • Maintain any certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (e.g., probability, predictability, deductions, fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions) to order supplies, convert recipes, etc.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to operate POS computer, make correct change and process credit card transactions.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, Publisher and Word.
