Compensation:
$21.79 per hr


Hours of Work:
Shift work, day hours or night awake.


Position Type:
Full-time (pay period is the middle of the month and the end of the month; about 64 hrs. per pay period)

Job Description:

The Residential Rehabilitation Worker will provide a variety of supports for clients. They are responsible for the daily support of the clients, and the maintenance of their well-being.


Responsibilities:


  • RRWs will assist and support participants with household cleanliness and a safe environment for our participants and staff, including housekeeping and laundry duties. The degree of assistance provided will vary depending on the skill level of the client.
  • RRWs will facilitate nutritional menu planning following special dietary requirements and meal preparation They will support and assist food preparation as appropriate.
  • Ensure regular personal hygiene habits are followed such as bathing, tooth brushing, and personal grooming, etc.
Working Environment

  • Much of the work is done in the small option home. There are 2 cats that are apart of the normal working environment.

Requirements:


  • Education/experience in a Human Services field or Community College Diploma
  • Oneyear experience or a combination of education, training, and related work experience
- completion of the 8 core competency training courses:

  • Fire and Life Safety (Online Course)
  • Standard First Aid and CPR. Initial course and recertification. (Blended Course)
  • Medication Awareness. Initial course and recertification. (Online Course)
  • Non-violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention. Previously called crisis intervention. (Blended Course)
  • Health and Personal Care. Previously called basic principles and practicesof personal care. (Online Course)
  • Person CenteredPlanning. Previously called Individual program planning. (Online Course)
  • Positive BehaviorSupports. Previously called principles and practicesof non-aversive behaviorchange. (Online Course)
  • Food Handlers Course. (Blended Course)
  • Please note: a blended course is partly taught online and partly taught in a classroom setting.
There will be an in-house training sessions. Can consist of two 4 hr. session, plus a shadow shift.
