As the lead of our accounting operations, you will be responsible for the digital bookkeeping an accounts receivable side of our business (aka everything that isn't engineering).
This will include issuing invoices, tracking receivables, reconciling bank/credit card accounts, spotting abnormalities, communicating with clients/team members, and ensuring all client required supplier documentation is provided.
Reporting to the company President, you will also be assigned some ad-hoc duties and administrative work as needed.What you will do
Using Quickbooks online, Microsoft Excel and Outlook, generate invoices to clients from invoice request forms, record payments received, add other transactions or items as needed, and update a master tracking sheet.
Regularly update documents and information pertaining to insurance and other business and/or legal matters, on a variety of online client web portals (such as ISNetworld, Tungsten Network, Coupa Supplier Portal, Avetta, etc)
Year End documentation and reports to assist the Corporate Accountant in completing corporate tax filing for each fiscal year.
Monthly, quarterly, and annual processes such as HST reports, mileage reports, or other online training or processes as necessary.
What You Will Bring to the role
Experience
Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience (preferably in consulting, industry or construction)
College/University degree in related field OR Combination of experience and relevant training
Skills, Competencies, Qualities & Abilities
Strong professional communication skills and solid experience/comfort with Accounts Receivable duties as they are the primary focus of the role.
High attention to detail and highly organized. You will need to be very diligent about following up in a professional, timely, and respectful way with our clients (both accounts professionals and project leaders/engineers)
Ability to problem solve and work independently
A positive entrepreneurial attitude and desire to work in an open, inclusive and diverse working environment.
Technical skills
Proficiency and comfort with QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office suite, as you will be effectively living in them.
High data-entry skill / typing accuracy. This is a data entry heavy role.

$50,000 - $65,000, depending on experience and skill set
