Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will get the opportunity to support the maintenance of a wide range of equipment critical to the operation of our campus infrastructure. While operating the University's power plant, bio energy plant and facilities infrastructure, you will ensure compliance with the Boiler Pressure Vessel Safety Regulations and Technical Safety BC. You will lead the response to all fire alarms, power outages and equipment failures to ensure the control and safety of occupants of the campus facilities.
Who Are We Looking For?
Like our current team members, you are a motivated problem-solver who enjoys staying busy, finding ways to improve work processes, and taking advantage of opportunities to be creative and grow. You don't mind getting your hands dirty or working on mechanical equipment throughout the day.

In this role, you will keep moving, while getting to work in one of the finest facilities in the North. You will be performing daily rounds, troubleshooting process equipment, performing planned maintenance, responding to fire alarms, and operating our natural gas boilers and the bio energy plant.
We do our own maintenance on process equipment such as pumps, fans, motors, and piping. If it sounds exciting to you to work with great people in an engaging environment, then come and make a difference with us at UNBC.
