Description
We are looking for a talented
Quality Leader to join our
#Accelera By Cummins team based in Mississauga, Ontario.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Supports the assigned plant or site with continuous improvement towards defect-free processes that satisfy customer needs and achieve business results. Also responsible for the continuous improvement of the process, tools, and capabilities of the people in the Quality function.
Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of the plant Quality System.
Provides functional leadership for achievement of Annual Operating Plan objectives at the plant.
Ensures that quality assessments and audits are conducted in accordance with the plant Quality System.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Supplier Quality Management
Leads all aspects of supplier quality management; helps develop strategy and collaborative supplier partnerships; identifies supplier innovation capabilities; contributes to supplier audit and certification process; tracks supplier performance metrics and acts to quickly resolve issues to improve supplier quality performance.

Quality Process Management

Applies and manages methods (e.g. SPC, Capability studies, Layered Process Audit, inspection, test) to ensure quality of Cummins products, processes, and services.
Quality Leadership (Cummins Operating System)
Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins Operating Systems (COS); applies Total Quality Management (TQM) principles and customer centric mindset; uses COS and TQM practices to assess performance, set strategy aligned with business need and create consistency of purpose for continuously improving products, processes, services; enables data driven proactive decision making to achieve zero defects and removes barriers to enable line of sight to customers; uses metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in required.
Green Belt certification required
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations

Experience

Significant relevant work experience required, including supervisory experience
On site quality leader position
Experienced working with R&D and engineering groups
