Your Contribution

As an Inspector, you will work in collaboration with the Building Sciences team

Your main responsibilities will be:

Preparing Building Condition Assessments
Analysing findings of the site investigations and producing BCA/FCA reports
Capital planning based on field reviews for various types on buildings (Provincial Government, Municipal and private property managers)
Conducting building envelope testing and evaluations

Your Profile

Knowledgeable in construction practices, terminology, construction engineering technologies, materials and methods of construction.
Be able to review drawings, interpret drawings and complete quantity takesoffs from existing drawings
Have a driving license and can travel comfortably to sites around Ontario
Provide a visual evaluation/field survey of the existing condition of the various building components including cladding, roofs, fenestrations, foundation walls, structure, interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, security and safety systems and landscaping.
Prepare capital planning study based on field survey for various types of buildings
Prepare BCA report including list of all building components with description and recommendations
Have a sample of BCA reporting (good to have)
