We are currently looking to hire an IT Deskside support to work out of our office in Burlington (in office full time) with occasional travel to our Toronto office when needed.

The main responsibility is to respond to IT service requests and process IT related support requirements in an efficient and courteous manner to ensure the continued smooth operations for Ausenco and the IT Support Team.


You will be responsible for the Incident Management Service requests including (but not limited to) the installation and maintenance of PC hardware, software, printers and peripherals, network access, IT security, and documentation.

For this role is key to have the ability to gather IT requirements, analyse IT issues, determine and implement a solution


About the role

  • Accountable for Incident Management, such as logging of incidents and requests and log of resolution efforts and time on ITSM tool
  • Provide support with management of permissions to resource of information like network folder, licensing, etc, Management of access to corporate systems
  • Assist with the on boarding of new employees by ensuring that new user accounts and access is configured, and computers are setup
  • Responsible for managing events and IT security alerts such as Antivirus notifications, Software patches and Health status of IT infrastructure components
  • Maintain IT hardware and software inventory on IT asset management system
  • Ensure management of assets as part of the Onboarding and Offboarding processes
  • Coordinate with providers for delivery of goods or services
  • Perform telecommunications support including all equipment moves, additions and changes for phone accounts, video conference support and provides telephone/ video conference orientations

About you

  • Post-Secondary education in Information Technology (either certificate or diploma) is a minimum requirement
  • 2 years of proven experience in delivering IT support
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, configuration and support of computer hardware such as workstations, printers and other peripheral equipment.
  • Outstanding level of knowledge and support for Windows 10 Enterprise troubleshooting and installation
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure including servers, storage, access points and network switches
  • Understanding of computer network, cabling, network file and print services.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in delivering IT support
