Your Contribution:
As an Environmental Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Instrumentation team (3-4 month contract)
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Perform Phased Environmental Site Assessments, including historical research, site inspections and soil and groundwater sampling programs;
- Preparation of field notes, data analysis and evaluation;
- Participate in technical report and proposal writing;
- Develop and maintain client relationships; and,
Your Profile:
- College diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or an environmental related field;
- 2 years experience as an environmental consultant in environmental drilling and test pitting, collection of soil and groundwater samples is an asset;
- Understanding of and/or ability to learn technical labortory and fieldtesting procedures required;
- Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations would be an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to complex topics and concepts, working independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to effectively and efficiently problemsolve, tackle new assignments and multitask in a busy work environment;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform detailed analysis in various software programs;
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain Security Clearance;
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for health and safety;
- Attention to detail is a must for this position.
