We are looking to fill the role of
Shop Supervisor at 4154 McGillivray Blvd.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the daytoday Truck & Trailer fleet operation (not be responsible for the heavy equipment fleet)
  • Audit and approve vendor invoices
  • Approve PO numbers in real time
  • Confirming work orders vs warranty work
  • Confirm and track outsourced repair work
  • Vendor part negotiations
  • Support with offsite repairs by assistance in sourcing vendors at the most economical manner
  • Warranty follow up
  • Supervise and provide leadership to all shop employees to effectively meet company goals and objectives
  • Manage resources within his/her area of responsibility to ensure staffing and equipment levels match business activity levels
  • Look for new ways to continually improve operations through focused efforts
  • Work with the shop foreman to drive continuous improvement
  • Supervisory skills, including the ability to manage staff, maintenance, work schedules, station assignments, and training
Perform additional responsibilities as required and appointed by management


Qualifications

  • 5 or more years' experience in a leadership position in the Truck / Heavy truck industry is a benefit
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timelines and responsiveness
  • Ability to lead and manage a busy team environment
  • Knowledge of construction equipment
  • Strong verbal and effective written communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Basic computer skills
  • Spectrum knowledge would be considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license (no bus access)
