We're looking for a motivated, self-directed Accounting Clerk to join our family business in Coldbrook, Nova Scotia. This is a great opportunity for someone who is familiar with rural NS, who embraces taking their breaks outside in nature, and who is looking to work alongside a team of "fun" accountants

Wade Enterprises is a family owned, multi-faceted business with deep roots operating in retail markets, commercial and residential real estate, land holdings, and farming.

Our head office is in Coldbrook, NS, where this position would primarily work from.

Our current backend staff consists of three full-time accountants and 1 part time clerk; all together we have a team of approximately 80 employees across both companies.

The key responsibilities of this Student Accounting Clerk role would be to help out in some of the following areas:

• Processing payables and managing receivables
• Aiding in payroll preparation (processing, T4's, ROEs)
• Daily sales receipt posting
• Recording (daily, weekly, monthly) journal entries
• Administrative duties (retail outlet support, document maintenance)
• Supporting yearend and adhoc requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong written and oral communication
• Experience in office administration or related field (or combination of suitable education and experience) is preferred
• Knowledge of accounting terminology and principles
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience required

Job Types:

Salary:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour
