Your responsibilities will include:


  • Work with engineering team in developing preliminary and final design plans and details
  • Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations
  • Create and manage structural drawings of bridges, culvert and retaining walls.
  • Use Bentley Micro Station / AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.
  • Produce documents with MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Inspection of bridges, culverts and retaining walls (OSIM Inspection / Project Construction Inspection)
  • Preparation of site inspection reports
  • Work with engineering team in developing proposals for new work
  • You'll be working mainly from home (unless you prefer coming into one of our offices), with the expectation to travel for client meetings, site inspections and occasional team meetings._

Here's what you'll need:


  • 5 years experience in CAD production of bridges, culvert and retaining wall designs
  • General knowledge of engineering principles and materials for highway / civil work would be an asset
  • Read and understand construction documents
  • Proficiency in Micro Station or AutoCAD / Civil 3D
  • Proficiency of 3D modeling
  • Highway design experience an asset
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • The ability to clearly communicate and collaborate well with Engineers and Designers
  • Critical thinking skills necessary with the ability to plan ahead and conceptualize
  • Prior experience working on municipal and MTO projects is an asset
