Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families.
You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community.
You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Supervised training and 3-5 years independent experience in Mental Health Assessment and Treatment with the Emerging Adult and/or Adult population.
Current knowledge and recent experience delivering of a range of clinical intervention modalities including individual, family therapy, group intervention, single-session and brief therapies is required.
Recent experience providing Mental Health and Concurrent Disorder informed treatment in Mental Health settings required. Experience working with Trauma required. DBT Training required. Demonstrated Knowledge of DSM V and experience providing diagnoses required. Knowledge of community resources required. Ability to facilitate referrals and connect families to appropriate resources required. Experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and related behavioural, cognitive and social issues required. Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and system navigation and case management required. Strong assessment, formulation, diagnosis and treatment skills required. Effective case management skills required. Demonstrated commitment to Family and Client Centered Care required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills required.Preferred Qualifications:
Level 1& 2 training in Collaborative Problem Solving preferred. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with community partners preferred. Trauma-informed training preferred. Connect Care trained preferred. Single-session and/or Solution-focused experience preferred. DBT training and experience preferred. Brain Story Certified preferred. Proven ability to work independently and meet necessary deadlines. Experience in program planning, evaluation and/or research preferred.
