SUMMARY
The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall management, direction, and integrity of the accounting, finance, systems, and financial reporting functions within the business unit.
This individual actively partners with the Senior Leadership Team in the planning, direction, and policy making for the company and communicates and supports the strategic and operational plans of the business unit.
They will provide direction to the accounting/finance staff and leads initiatives across the manufacturing sites to improve, automate, and simplify current accounting and reporting processes to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares and reviews the monthly and quarterly financial statements, applies accounting theory and IDEX policy as appropriate, and ensures the timely and accurate completion of all deliverables to IDEX.
- Responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and support of strategic planning.
- Responsible for asset preservation and working capital management.
- Develops a robust internal control framework and compliance throughout the organization.
- Partners with the site General Manager and SLT in managing the manufacturing unit.
- Manages talent by selecting, training, motivating and developing the finance team.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA required.
- 610 years of progressively responsible accounting and leadership experience.
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Ten years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced PC/ERP/OneStream experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of SOX requirements.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment within and outside of the Accounting Department.
INTERPERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Success in this position requires the ability to build a strong partnership with the Vice President of Operations and frequent communication with peers and management.
